We will be using a combination of traditional LEGO bricks like you are used to seeing as well as LEGO® Technic. Technic sets were created so kids could build more advanced sets. You can interlock LEGO® bricks with Technic items to build models that have a greater variety of movements and can be built stronger.

Our age descriptions are guidelines to help you choose the most suitable camp sessions. The lower limits are highly recommended since it would be frustrating for a child to participate before they were truly ready. The upper limits are more negotiable. Please call us if you want to register a child outside of our age limits.
Yes, you may bring a snack. There will be break times for them to get water and eat. Please avoid bringing any peanut products. We will also have our own personal limited Snack Shack available ONLY at the Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Homeschool Campus and Monument Academy East for kids to enjoy making a purchase.
The kids get to work in pairs to discover and learn mechanical properties in a fun way. They will build one or two items, then have a snack break followed by another build. Discussion of engineering and programming concepts (if applicable) will be interspersed throughout. For specific builds, see the camp descriptions. Be prepared to make a friend!
Please review the descriptions under each camp. While we generally keep the minimum age requirements firm, we're open to accommodating older children who wish to join a younger class. If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to give us a call, and we’ll help determine the best fit for your child.
While there is a lot you can learn on your own, building with a group of other like-minded kids can make it really fun and challenging at the same time. Our camp is a place where kids can feel like it’s ok and even encouraged to think about better ways of doing things, to compete with each other and to push one another to a new skill levels. As iron sharpens iron, they learn much more and have a lot more fun doing it together. Campers work in teams so it’s not one person responsible for everything, but they get to explore together in a community setting. One of the kids said this about the camp: “I like going to this camp because it’s ok to be smart here.” Similar to other camps that develop abilities (such as athletics), we offer an environment that kids could enjoy learning with other kids doing something they love doing. They get to discover their aptitude for details, mechanical designs and perseverance in problem solving.
Our camps are 3 hours in the mornings from 9am - 12pm and 3 hours in the afternoons from 1pm - 4pm. If your child meets the age qualifications to attend both morning and afternoon camps, they can stay with us during the lunch hour for an additional $20. They must bring their own lunch. Please contact us if you would like to make arrangements.
To provide a safe, orderly and enjoyable camping experience for everyone, we will adhere to the following policy:
VERBAL WARNING: If the offense is minor, the teacher will give an oral warning.
FIRST OFFENSE: Teacher will take aside the camper to privately discuss the problem.
SECOND OFFENSE: Camper will meet with the teacher and will be timed out until the next change in activity. Teacher will also notify the parent/guardian of the situation at the time of pick up.
THIRD OFFENSE: In the event of a third incident of misconduct of a similar nature, it will result in an immediate expulsion for the day. Parent/guardian will be called to pick up the child.
Each new day will begin with a camper having a clean slate. However, in very extreme cases where severe disruption continues to occur on a daily basis, the camper will not be allowed back into the camp and no refund will be issued.
Your child should not be in camp with the other children if they have any of these symptoms:
A fever currently or within the last 24 hours
A harsh cough or large amounts of yellow or green nasal discharge
Lethargic behavior (it’s not fun building with LEGO® bricks if you are under the weather)
Diarrhea or vomiting currently or within the last 24 hours
Any symptom that would normally cause the child to stay home from school
We cannot provide any refunds for days missed due to illness.
